There have been reports of restaurants in Hong Kong displaying posters bearing unauthorised halal trademarks. These restaurants display the Halal logo to suggest its premises and meat are halal certified, when they may not be.
Should you suspect there is a restaurant in HK engaging in such a practice, please get in touch with the details (clear photos, name and location of the restaurant, etc.,) and we will file a case with Trade Descriptions Investigation Bureau, Customs and Excise Department, Government of Hong Kong (SAR).
The violation of the description of goods on sale and misleading omissions is a an offence, under the Trade Descriptions Ordinance in HK.
